Lenten apple and cinnamon bread – how to make it
It starts with the preparation of a soft dough, which needs time to rest, before being rolled out on two pieces of paper like a pan.
How to make soft bread
Before starting the technical process of preparing the dough, gather all the necessary materials and utensils on the work table. You need two bowls, a sieve, a whisk or a hand mixer.
Grind the flour in a large bowl or bowl of a mixer. Add powder and salt on it. Mix the ingredients well to homogenize.
In another bowl, add oil and sugar and mineral water. Using a mixer or whisk, mix these ingredients well until the sugar dissolves. Slowly add the thick mixture from the first bowl while mixing vigorously. Homogenize the dough, cover it with food film and let it rest for 20-30 minutes. You will get a dough that is soft and not sticky.
When the soft dough falls under the food film, treat the apple. Wash the apples well without removing the skin, put them on a large grater. Add sugar and extract it until it forms a syrup. Depending on the syrup, add 2 or 3 tablespoons of semolina.
How to assemble and cook Lenten apple and cinnamon bread
Turn off the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Divide the soft dough into two equal parts.
Sprinkle flour on the work surface and spread the first part of the dough on a baking sheet. Use a rolling pin to remove the paper. You can use a tray with a side of about 23/36 cm.
Grease the pan with oil and sprinkle flour on it. Then, roll out the dough sheet with a rolling pin and transfer it to the tray. Use a fork to prick the sheet of dough from place to place. Add baking powder over the grated apple and spread the apple mixture over the dough in the pan.
Spread the second sheet of dough on a floured table. Transfer it to a rolling pin and transfer it to the top of the apple composition on the tray. Use a fork to measure this from point to point.
