A cheeseburger is a hamburger with a lot of cheese, added on top of the grilled meat when it is almost completely cooked, so just before serving. For the cheeseburger:
- 4 pieces of melted cheese
- 2 buns
- minced beef for burgers
For the caramelized onions:
- 4 onions cut into scales
- 2-3 tablespoons of oil
For the sauce:
- 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon granulated onion
- 1 piece of pickled cucumber
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate until needed. For caramelized onions, put oil in a pot, add onion, salt and pepper, mix and leave on fire until it is soft. Once golden, add a little water, not more than 50ml, and continue to cook the onion until caramelised. If necessary, add water from time to time. Leave on fire for about 10 minutes.
To cook the meat, you will want to season it with salt and pepper. Put a little oil in a frying pan and wait for it to heat up. Place the meat in the pot with its side down and turn it to the other side. Press a little with a spatula and cook the meat on each side for 3-4 minutes on high heat.
Dry the bun halves and put a little sauce on each one, then add lettuce, tomato slices, beef, on top of which you put cheddar cheese and caramelized onions. Finish the burger by placing half of the bun on top and serve with a side of salad or a side of fries.
