Have you tried donuts with mustard sauce?! If you’ve been cooking them in tomato sauce until now, it’s time to try a new recipe. You can choose to put at least a jar of donuts in mustard sauce, to have for the winter. This dish is delicious with a brown steak, but it can also be part of a side dish.
Recipe for donuts with mustard sauce
Efrata:
- 1 kg of fried donuts (from 1.5 kg of whole donuts)
- 200 g well or mustard
- 150 ml sunflower oil
- 150 ml simple white wine (9 degrees)
- 150 g sugar or honey
- 20 g large pickling salt
- 2 half onions
- 4-5 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon peppercorns
- 1-2 textbooks
Preparation process:
Wash the donuts and remove the spines and seeds and cut them into pieces 1 cm wide. Then clean the onion and garlic, and chop them.
Put the mustard, sugar (or honey), vinegar, oil and salt in a bowl. Mix them and add peppercorns and water leaves.
Place the pot over medium heat and bring the sauce to a boil. Let it cook. 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will thicken and become creamy. Then add onion and garlic to cook for two minutes. Add the sliced donuts to the saucepan and mix well. Let the donuts cook for about 8-10 minutes, until they are soft.
Donuts and mustard sauce put in a pot when hot. Top with mustard sauce and quickly spread the lid. Donuts will be moist in 2-3 weeks, but they will be sweeter after 2-3 months (in winter).
